"It depends on the location of your unit.  For Residential locations, cleaning ideally should be done in 6 months; for Offices, it should be quarterly.

You may sometimes experience drips in your unit because the unit is very dirty and the unit needs to be cleaned. 1. Which is more energy efficient - low speed manual or auto setting?

Both are energy saving but the auto-setting may provide you more comfort as this makes the AC adaptable to the environment temperature setting.

3. Does a straight 8-hour-use of Inverter AC save electricity?

The inverter technology is the most energy efficient technology available, especially our 3-in-1 inverter models.  However, logically, as in any other devices that consume energy, the longer and more hours of use, the proportionate energy costs is required.

1. Why does my timer keep on blinking?
Continuous blinking means there's an alarm detected.

2. Is it normal or a common problem that my AC unit stops after 30 minutes?

1. Can you please help me understand the'dry mode' of my AC unit.
Dry Mode is a function in removing moisture from the air.
Use the Dry Mode Function when the room temperature is above 16°C.
When the temperature is below 15°C Dry Mode will not function.

2. Why does my aircon automatically change on its own, from cool to dry to fan?
It is possible that the Display Indicator or its Indoor PCB or its Fan Motor is faulty.

3. Why does the timer continuously blink, it adjusts to 60, then it turns off?
It is possible that the Display Indicator or its Indoor PCB or its Fan Motor is faulty.

 4. Why does the temperature display keep on counting from 1-24 and it does not stop?
It is possible that the Display Indicator or its Indoor PCB is faulty.

5. Why is my unit not cold though it is set to 16 degrees?
Has your unit already been cleaned? Filter already  been cleaned?
The working temperature for AC Units is 21°C ~ 32°C.  It is impossible for the unit to meet the 16°C.

6. Why is my aircon not producing sufficient condensation?

10. Is it normal for my Hitachi AC to form ice when used for 2 straight days?
What is your temperature setting? Icing of AC units are not normal.

11. Does the AC unit temperature have an effect on our electrical consumption?
Definitely yes, the lower the temperature, the relatively higher is the electrical consumption.
Working range for AC units is 21°C~32°C.

It is possible that the unit in not properly plugged in the electrical socket or there's a problem in power supply.
